A Two-day Non-Residential Retreat

In today’s world, we are faced with novel challenges, limited resources, and increased demands for our expertise and time. The constant pressures can deplete our mental resiliency and interfere with many of the hallmarks of excellence, including our ability to focus, to see clearly, to cultivate space for creativity, and to embody compassion.

During this 2-day nonresidential retreat, we will explore mindfulness meditation and practical applications to enhance our ability to lead and live with excellence. We will also uncover ways in which our ability to create space in our day affects our ability to lead–whether we are leading a team, our family or our own lives.

We will gather to experientially explore this training of the mind. Through meditation, gentle stretching and practical daily applications, we will begin to see how we can lead with excellence- focused, clear, creative, and compassionate.

This retreat will cover:
An in-depth exploration of Mindfulness and Mindful Leadership.
How to take a purposeful pause in the midst of a busy day.
An exploration of what we understand about leadership excellence and what gets in the way.
Practical applications of Mindful Leadership training to calendars and meetings.
How to continue to develop and strengthen your practices at work and at home.

MBSR Graduates' Group

A monthly class for graduates of the MBSR program. At each monthly session there will be an opportunity for formal practice, mindful movement, mindful communication, and exploring a topic related to the practices we've been cultivating. Many people find that having a community to practice with periodically is a tremendous support in maintaining momentum with their daily practice.

The sessions are planned to be held on the 4th Sunday of each month from 4pm to 6pm.

Dates: Jan 25, Feb 22, Mar 22, Apr 26, May 17, Jun 28, Jul 26, Aug 30*Nov 1*, Nov 22, Dec 27.

Cultivating Leadership Presence Through Mindfulness

Cultivating Leadership Presence through Mindfulness© is a 4 day residential retreat that invites organizational leaders to explore mindfulness meditation training in the context of leadership excellence. The retreat invites leaders to ‘train the mind’ just as an athlete leverages specialized training to ‘train the body’. In a small group setting, leaders are guided through a series of systematic mindful leadership practices, leadership excellence reflections, and everyday applications (e.g mindful meetings, skillful decision-making, leading by inspiration). As we explore mindful leadership, we learn to cultivate our ability to focus, see past our own filters, be more innovative and embody compassion. After the retreat, participants are supported in the integration of their training, and the development of a meditation practice, through several weeks of post-retreat e-mails from the Institute and the Institute’s Mindfulness Meditations for Leaders (c) CD. This retreat has been taught to leaders from around the world since 2006.

Fee: $2,495

Includes single room, tuition, breakfast, lunch and dinner with the group. Each participant will also receive a free CD “Mindfulness Meditations for Leaders” by Janice Marturano. Additionally there will be several weeks of ongoing virtual support from the instructors after the retreat.
